SOUTH WALES LOCAL LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS AND OUR RAILWAY

This afternoon the Welsh Government announced that from 18:00 on Tuesday, Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Merthyr Tydfil and Newport will join Caerphilly and Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) in being subject to local lockdown restrictions.

As with the Caerphilly and RCT lockdowns, over the next 24 hours we will be contacting customers from the area about their bookings. Again, we are aware that certain bookings made by those from outside the affected local authorities may also be affected by the restrictions. We ask those customers to contact as soon as possible.

Although Torfaen is currently unaffected, the Welsh Health Minister has stated that he will be holding an urgent meeting on Wednesday with all councils, health boards and police forces in South Wales. As this will concern the wider regional situation and whether further measures are needed, please keep an eye on this page for any subsequent alterations or cancellations to our planned service.
