Mainline: furnace sidings - coed avon (blaenavon high level) / whistle inn halt

Furnace Sidings

Our main station. Located around 3 miles from the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road, it features ample free parking (including both coach and disabled).

Blaenavon High Level

Our southern-most station and currently the only original on our line. Located above the heritage town centre and on National Cycle Route 492. Originally closed in 1941, the station makes an ideal alighting point to explore the town centre and its attractions.*

*Please note the station is located up a steep hill and may not be accessible to all passengers.

Big Pit Halt

Big Pit Halt. Located at the end of a short branchline from Furnace Sidings, it is situated adjacent to the Big Pit National Coal Museum and within walking distance of the Rhymney Brewery Visitor Centre.
