• Our 1940s Weekend will return again in 2024.

• Passengers are invited to dress up and immerse themselves in the nostalgia of Wartime Britain. Experience life during the Second World War alongside the sights and smells of our heritage railway .

• Highlights of this event include:
  • Wartime Entertainer - Ricky Hunter returns, performing at Furnace Sidings.
  • Re-enactors and wartime theme on our trains and stations, recreating sights from the ‘40s.
  • Military and civilian vehicles on display.
  • Weapon firing demonstrations.
  • Military exhibits.
  • Saturday evening entertainment and Fish & Chip Special.

• An extended timetable will be in operation over the weekend with trains hauled by a steam locomotive (Loco TBC). Our buffet coach will also feature on the main set serving a range of alcoholic and hot and cold beverages.
